It is a flow sensor for fluids (gases, liquids and steam) based on measuring the differential pressure on the primary element. Primary element is centric orifice plate, nozzle or Venturi tube. Measuring principle is based on the incorporation of the primary element in pipe sections where a full cross-section of fluid flows.
